hey everyone. sorry for my absence around here. it's been crazy here at home. this is probably the most emotional month of my life.

first, my boyfriend jaime, who lives in california, came to visit for a couple weeks or so. which was great! we had a lotta fun. and he gave me his old copy of animal crossing for the ds. which i am now addicted to. (speaking of which, if anyone wants to play with me, i'd probably be down with that!)

but right before he came, my grandma got sick and had to be taken to the hospital. she spent about 3 weeks there until her death on the 14th. so dealing with everything tied with that has been somewhat hectic and emotional. i miss her a lot, but i've got no regrets. i got to spend a lot of time with her since she moved back to chicagoland. and i got to see her the day before her passing. so. no regrets. i'm just gonna miss all her dirty jokes, haha...

on my way home from taking jaime to the airport, i got pulled over... for expired license plate stickers. which have apparently been expired since last august. i honestly had no idea... so this really sucks. i'm gonna end up getting new stickers and going to court because i can't afford to pay a $75 ticket. what sucks is the cop took my license away. ugh.

soon after that i started getting sick. and it appears i might have mono. and if that's what it is, i'll be sick for like a month. and if i'm sick for a month, i can't get a job. and i really need a job. and it really sucks. i'm seriously broke. i don't have health insurance, but if this continues i'll have to get tested...

we had a party instead of a funeral for my grandma. and then next summer at some point we're going to scatter her ashes up in wisconsin where our other family members have also been scattered. i'm looking forward to that trip as i haven't been to wisconsin in years, and i love it up there.

in the first week of august i am going to reno to visit my uncle with my mom and brother and his girlfriend. i wasn't originally going to go, because i was told i'd have to buy my own ticket (more encouragement to get a job obviously) but my uncle's girlfriend offered to buy me a ticket, sooo... i decided it'd be a good opportunity to see jaime again as he can just take a greyhound bus over to us.


SOOOO in conclusion, things are weird with my life right now. i'm going to try and work on commissions while i'm sick, so don't hesitate to ask for one! i reeeeeally need the money so PLEASE ask for one! haha...

i'm going to try working on nine lives again soon as well, so there's something to look forward to. hopefully. i might change the style a bit to make drawing the pages go much faster, but i'll try not to change it toooo much. i'll run some ideas by you guys first.



well, back to being confined to my couch with my laptop, tv, and my ds. oh and my juice. my glorious, glorious juice...
