nine lives page 62

more shameless self promotion! here's page 62 of my comic, nine lives.

i am really happy with this page, which is mainly why i decided to post it, but also because there is a lot of detail in it.

the fourth panel with the girl cracks me up. it was intended to be silly, with marco peeking around the lockers. oh marco, you're so shy and awkward when it comes to social situations...

i'm really excited about this part of the story. i've been looking forward to it. i purposely left the history between marco and wolf quite vague in the beginning, i didn't feel right delving straight into it off the bat... plus wolf and renard needed some time to get to know each other i guess.

plus i love character history it's one of my favorite things about character design, because it really shapes the character. and the history between these two is very very essential to the way they are in the current time.

also as a fun fact, marco and wolf went to high school in the mid 90s-ish. i kinda had fun playing with wolf's clothing, if you can't tell, because his current style is kind of boring... also, i love messy hair

guh they were so cute back in the day!!! sorry to keep rambling but another thing i'm happy about is that they really do look younger in those flashback panels. i used to have trouble with that. and i feel like these ages are more difficult than comparing say a 25 year old to a 5 year old. if that makes sense.


alright, i'm done talking about nothing. the flashbacks continue on the next page, which i also can't wait to do, so i'll post that one when it's done.


i don't know how long this took, i worked on it on and off over a period of about 3 days.

again, in traditional because ALL of the lines are done with pencil and that part of the process is way more involved, the flat colors were just added in photoshop.
