some nine lives spoilers for you guys the song above always made me think of these two, especially the third set of lyrics. mm. (minus the two sets of lyrics at the end of it, which i left out...)

after the last few depressing pages, i've been feeling like marco needs some happy time. 'course this part of the story was planned long ago, but i get sad when my characters are sad... so i have to draw them happy. i'm weird like that.

so here's marco and melanie in the not too distant future. yeah, mel had a huge growth spurt. and her hair changed color.

you know, i really love drawing interiors. or rather decorating them. marco doesn't like a lot of clutter in his room though, so he doesn't have much. and that blanket is craaaaazy. for some reason when it comes to doing things like blankets, i just go fold crazy. and the folds usually don't make sense, but it looks pretty nifty don't it?


anyway, i'm really proud of this one. i don't know if i'll be willing to sell the original, but if i do, it'll be for a hiiiigh price...


pencil on 9x12 drawing paper, colored in photoshop. in traditional because the drawing itself was more involved than the colors.
